A 24-year-old man was in critical but stable condition Sunday night after being shot in the back in West Baltimore, police said. The victim, whose identity police did not provide, was sitting in his vehicle in the 400 block of Random Road just before 2:30 p.m. when a man approached and began firing. The victim drove himself to an area hospital, according to Det. Kevin Brown, a city police spokesman.
