St. Mary's coach Megan Lewis told Kristen Lamon she wanted her to go to the goal more this spring, and the senior attacker responded with five goals and four assists in the season opener, a 14-12 come-from-behind win over Episcopal High School from Houston, Texas. In rallying the No. 12 Saints from six goals down, Lamon had nearly half as many points as she posted all of last season (14 goals, seven assists). Also a field hockey player for the Saints, she has a 3.95 grade-point average. She plays club lacrosse for Maryland United and has signed to play next year for No. 1 Maryland.

Others considered: Jenna Reifler, Roland Park, lacrosse; Tenicia Spence, Western, basketball; Oma-ah Tayong, Dunbar, basketball; Zoey Whittington, Catonsville, basketball.
