Four men were shot and wounded within about two hours in Baltimore Monday night, continuing an outbreak of violence that broke out over the weekend, police said.
One of the victims, an adult male, was found at Frankford Avenue and Belair Road with a gunshot wound shortly after 7 p.m. and was taken to a local trauma center, according to police spokeswoman Nicole Monroe.
Shortly before 8 p.m., another man was found shot in the foot in the 3600 block of Elmley Ave. In the third shooting, which took place about 8:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Greenmount Ave., the victim at first tried to leave the scene but was found by police with a wound in the forearm.
The fourth shooting took place in the 900 block of North Broadway, where a man was found with a gunshot wound in the back. He was taken to a local hospital.
Monroe said the first two shootings were being handled by Northeast District detectives, the third was being investigated by Northern District and the fourth by Eastern District. She said there were no known connections between the incidents.
