Union rally not served with much tea

March 17, 2011

Your article on the union rally in Annapolis ("Thousands of union members at rally," March 15) devoted too much space to the handful of tea party protestors and their counter-protest.

If this were a huge tea party rally and a couple dozen counter protestors appeared, I am sure they would merit no mention. The mainstream media has been frightened into giving excessive attention to right-wing opinion in the name of "balance." This is an artificial balance that doesn't reflect the actual situation during the protest.
