A series of talks based on a book by Alexander Shaia, "The Hidden Power of the Gospels," will be held from 7 p.m. to 7:40 p.m. on Wednesdays, March 16 through April 13, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1110 St. Stephen's Church Road in Crownsville. Optional small group discussions will take place after the service. Gospel concert

Concert featuring DiVine and the Christian Cavaliers will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at Cecil Memorial United Methodist Church, 15 Parole St. in Annapolis. Irish dinner

The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer will hold its annual Irish dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the church, 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie. Dinner will be corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, salads, desserts and beverages. Tickets are $10, $5 for children 6 to 12, and free for ages 5 and younger. There will also be basket raffles. Proceeds benefit Thrivent Builds/Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity. Information: 410-766-8778.

Hymn sing

Friendship United Methodist Church, 22 W. Friendship Road, Friendship, holds its annual "Community Hymn Sing" at 2 p.m. March 27 at the church.
