Maryland's Jordan Williams 'not even thinking about' the NBA

Maryland big man Jordan Williams, who was named to the all-ACC first team on Monday, is in Greensboro, N.C. prepping for this week's ACC tournament. His sophomore season nearly over, Williams said Wednesday that he isn't thinking about his NBA prospects at the moment.

"I'm not even thinking about that," Williams told The Washington Times. "I'm just trying to focus on this team right now and getting this team better and getting this team to the tournament. That's the most important thing. I haven't really put any thought into that."

Williams is averaging 16.9 points this season, and his 11.6 rebounds per game are tops in the ACC.

Terps coach Gary Williams also talked about Jordan Williams' future, and either he is in serious denial or he thinks the power forward is coming back to College Park for his junior season.

"He's really had a great sophomore year and I think he'll continue to improve as time goes by," Gary Williams said. "There's always positive you can take out of anything, and when some team does stop him, you can see what they did. ... You're getting a lot of good feedback to show in the offseason for what he has to do to improve so those things won't bother him so much."
