Your turn: What could Terrell Suggs do in Ravens' backfield?

March 08, 2011|By Matt Vensel

The Ravens could have a vacancy or two in their backfield whenever free agency begins. Backup running back Willis McGahee is expected to be released and fullback Le'Ron McClain is free to sign wherever he pleases. Might the Ravens turn to Terrell Suggs whenever Ray Rice needs a breather?

In addition to being a stand-out sack machine in high school, Suggs was a pretty good running back. And somehow, we uncovered footage of him wreaking havoc on both sides of the ball in a high school playoff game in Arizona back in the day. He ran for more than 200 yards and had a pair of sacks. Not too shabby.

Of course, I am only half-seriously suggesting that the Ravens use Suggs as a running back. But imagining the possibility is fun, especially when that daydream involves Haloti Ngata in at fullback.

You tell me: What do you think Terrell Suggs could do today if the Ravens let him be a running back?
