Baltimore County police have identified two women who were killed Wednesday evening in separate automobile accidents.

In the first incident, police said Julia Smith, 63, of the first block of Ashlar Hill Court in Parkville hit a curb while driving her vehicle north about 6:30 p.m. on Ashlar Hill Court. She then struck a parked vehicle, which hit another parked vehicle, according to police.

Smith was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

In the second incident, reported about an hour later at a parking lot in the 100 block of Old Court Road in Pikesville, police said Yolanda Carr, 38, of Randallstown apparently put her vehicle in reverse, backed up a hill and struck several property signs, then two parked cars.

Her car door was open, and Carr, who lived in the 4500 block of Tapscott Road, was ejected, according to police. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both accidents remain under investigation, police said.
