There's one way Md. can get back at Westboro funeral protesters: Legalize gay marriage

If there ever was a case for marriage equality for gay people, it is the Westboro Baptist Church, the people who celebrate happily at the funerals of our brave soldiers who died to fight religious extremism. The Westboro protesters hate America, our soldiers etc., but the root of their hatred is for gay people.

The Supreme Court voted 8-1 that this "anything but" Christian church could not be held liable for their horrendous acts under our free speech laws.

Nothing would be more fitting to punish Westboro than to have Maryland, the Free State, enact marriage equality for our gay citizens, friends and neighbors. Its the Christian thing to do.
