Two men were injured in a shooting Monday night in Annapolis, according to police.

Officers responded to the 1800 block of Whiton Court about 8:59 p.m. for a report of shots fired, police said. One of the victims, a 39-year-old man, had been shot in the buttocks. He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was treated and released, according to police.

The other man, 23, had a graze wound on his earlobe and refused treatment, police said.

The victims told investigators that they went to Whiton Court, where they met three people. One of those people took out a gun and fired at the victims before fleeing the scene, according to police.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Annapolis police at 410-268-9000.
