Anne Arundel County police were looking for witnesses in the traffic-related death of a pedestrian Sunday evening in Laurel.

Robert L. Gore, 50, was struck about 6:30 p.m. while crossing Laurel-Fort Meade Road near the intersection of Whiskey Bottom Road, police said. It was not clear whether the incident was a hit-and-run, according to police spokesman Justin Mulcahy.

Gore was run over by two vehicles, he said, but investigators have not yet determined whether he fell into the roadway or if a third vehicle may have struck him.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information was asked to call police at 410-222-8610 or the department's traffic safety section at 410-222-8573.
