Brutal killer does not deserve to live

February 15, 2011

My heart breaks for William and Phyllis Bricker whose parents were brutally murdered 28 years ago ("Death penalty moratorium leaves survivors, convicts in limbo," Feb. 13).

The couple had been bound, gagged and fatally stabbed. Can anyone give me a cogent reason why this killer has a right to live?

The death penalty for John Booth-El would at least give Mr. and Mrs. Bricker closure for these merciless killings.
