Christina Aguilera might not be looking for redemption after she botched the National Anthem on Super Bowl Sunday. But if she is, she should consider giving it another try here in Baltimore.

Hear us out, Christina.

The Brooklyn Cyclones, a minor-league affiliate of the Mets, have offered Aguilera an opportunity to sing the National Anthem at one of their games this summer, but the Grammy Award winning singer deserves better than that. That's where Baltimore comes in.

Christina, we know you "got caught up in the moment" as you said Monday, and that you're capable of getting this right. After all, we remember -- OK, at least I do -- when you nailed the National Anthem during the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals.

You've been through a lot over the years -- you were a squeaky-clean genie in a bottle then you, uh, lost your way before becoming a more family-friendly Christina -- but we're confident you can get your groove back.

So here's our offer: Come sing the National Anthem at Camden Yards this spring. You'll get a chance to prove to the world that you can do this thing, plus you'll get an opportunity to be scowled at by Orioles manager Buck Showalter. You can't get that in Coney Island, can you?

And if you really want to win over Charm City, you can give us your rendition of "Thank God I'm a Country Boy." Just don't tinker with the lyrics too much, OK?

Don't think you'll be ready for "The Star-Spangled Banner" by this spring? Then how about you come to M&T Bank Stadium this fall and give Mishael Miller a breather?

We'll make sure we schedule you for when the Ravens do one of those fighter-jet flyovers, which always seem to be running a minute or two behind schedule, so you'll get a chance to freestyle and add an extra line or five.

Think about it and get back to us, Christina. We would so proudly watch if you redeemed yourself here.

If you haven't seen it, here's video of Aguilera's Anthem flub:
