February 01, 2011

Coppin Academy's Josh Adeyeye, a 6-4 1/2 guard/forward, had another consistently fine week on the basketball court with back-to-back multipurpose productions: He scored 22 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked five shots against ACCE Academy and two nights later scored 33 points while grabbing eight rebounds, blocking three shots and handing out four assists against St. John's Catholic Prep. For the season, Adeyeye is averaging 32 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. "He's our team captain," coach William Wiley said. "He's of good character, is well-mannered and plays and works hard." Adeyeye has led his team to a 7-4 season and is being looked at by a number of Division I schools, including North Carolina State, St. John's, South Florida, Maryland and Georgetown.
