Baltimore city police are investigating the shooting of an unidentified man this morning.

The man walked into the emergency room at Bon Secours Hospital in West Baltimore shortly before 6 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the leg, said Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman.

The man told doctors he was shot in the 1600 block of North Pulaski Street in West Baltimore. Police did not have an update on the man's condition but said he is expected to survive.

A previous version of this story located the reported location of the shooting on the incorrect street.
