January 04, 2011|By Yeganeh June Torbati, The Baltimore Sun

Anne Arundel County police arrested a man early Tuesday in the fatal shooting of his landlord at their Pasadena home.

Police said the suspect, 40-year-old Neal Jesse Manning, called 911 and said he had shot his landlord. Just after midnight Monday, officers arrived at a residence on the 7700 block of Outing Ave. and found Harry Allan Wagner, 57, shot to death.

The last known addresses for both Manning and Wagner are a home at 7791 Outing Ave. in Pasadena.

Homicide detectives searched the residence and interviewed Manning, who was later charged with first-degree murder. Court records indicate Manning had no prior criminal record, and police had yet to determine a motive for the killing.
