Train garden
The "Holiday Festival of Trains," presented by the B&O Railroad Museum, will be on display through Jan. 30 at 2711 Maryland Ave. The exhibit features a custom-built, O-scale model train layout. In addition to the museum's permanent HO layout, Thomas the Tank Engine G-scale and O-scale Crazy Train layouts are on display. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays-Sundays. Admission is $5, $4 for seniors 60 and older, $3 for children 2-12, free for B&O members. Information: 410-461-1945.
Youth dance
The Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department's Junior Firefighters will sponsor a "Winter Wonderland" dance for ages 9-15, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Jan. 22 at the firehouse, 6275 Old Washington Road. Quilt exhibit
"Stitches in Time/Threads of Change: An Exhibition of Maryland Community Quilts" continues through March 31 at the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park & Museum, 300 Oella Ave. The "Banneker Historical Quilt," a project more than five years in the making, is the centerpiece of the exhibit.
