1. Celtics 23-5 (2): Had 14-0 run stopped as Christmas warm-up act for Heat-Lakers.

2. Spurs 25-4 (1): On 73-win pace until losing at home to Nuggets.

3. Mavericks 23-5 (5): So much for Eastie Boys: Won back-to-back in Miami, Orlando.

4. Heat 23-9 (3): 6-7 vs. winning teams after routing Lakers in Los Angeles on Christmas.

5. Lakers 21-9 (4): Best team they beat has been 7-4 Bulls.

6. Thunder 20-10* (6): Oops: Went 14-4 before giving up 113, 112 in losses to Suns, Knicks.

7. Jazz 21-9 (7): Jazz, Thunder on 55-win pace — with one of them on road in first round.

8. Magic 18-12 (8): Orlando wasn't rebuilt in a day: New Magic 2-2 after Saturday's win.

9. Bulls 18-10 (9): 2-2 since Noah left and Christmas vs. Knicks was first real test.

10. Hornets 17-12 (10): Remember when Ariza just took open shots as Laker? He's at 36 percent.

11. Nuggets 16-11* (11): What kept you? KMart makes season debut in loss to Spurs.

12. Hawks 19-12 (12): Back from surgery, Joe Johnson averages 18 as they go 3-1.

13. Knicks 18-12 (13): They're real: After 0-3 skid, including loss to lowly Cavaliers, beat Thunder, Bulls.

14. Trail Blazers 15-14* (15): Let's see, who can they rebuild around: Aldridge, Matthews.

15. Rockets 14-15 (18): Like that Laker series: 4-0 since losing Yao, three on the road.

16. Bucks 12-16 (16): No-names beat Lakers, Kings with Jennings out as Boykins gets 22-19.

17. Pacers 13-14 (17): Small ball: Collison, Ford on floor at the end as they upend Hornets.

18. Suns 13-15 (14): On bright side Sarver, who kept taking on money, finally knows it's over.

19. Grizzles 12-17 (20): GM Chris Wallace says if you want one of his guys, just call.

20. 76ers 11-18 (19): Allowed 100 twice since Thanksgiving.

21. Warriors 10-18* (23): Greatest player flying under radar: Ellis averaging 28 this month.

22. Bobcats 9-19 (21): Good luck Paul Silas: No one has picked up where Brown left off yet.

23. Raptors 10-19 (22): If only USC guys just played Lakers: DeRozan gets 19 in one quarter.

24. Clippers 8-22 (25): Larry Brown talk everywhere — and it will pick up if they don't.
