HILTON HEAD, S.C.--Taryn Durant was named tournament MVP and No. 4 McDonogh successfully defended its title winning the Hilton Resort Holiday Classic Championship for a sixth year-in-a-row beating West Ashley (S.C.), 42-33, Monday.

Candice Hendricks led the Eagles (6-2) with 14 points and eight rebounds and Durant had 10 points, seven steals and four assists. Taylor Cummings had eight steals for McDonogh.

Mount de Sales 79, Institute of Notre Dame 20: Allyson Curley had 15 points to lead the host Sailors (6-0).

No. 3 Mount St. Joseph 54, Maret (D.C.) 33: Kameron Williams scored 13 points and David Windsor had 11 for the host Gaels (9-2).

Mount St. Joseph denied the Frogs dribble-drive offensive with a collapsing defensive and held Maret to six points in the first half. Mount St. Joseph has won five-in-a-row and both of their losses were to schools out of the area.

No. 9 Oakland Mills 82, Glenelg 59: Kerry Bethea had a game-high 18 points to power the host Scorpions (7-0) past the Gladiators (5-1).

No. 14 Glenelg Country School 65, Mount Carmel 57: The scrappy Cougars dove on loose balls and outrebounded the Dragons (6-1) in the first half, but Glenelg Country School came back in the second half.

The Dragons—led by Warren Powers with 20 points and Cesar Jove-Vivas with 16—outscored Mount Carmel, 18-12, in the third quarter.

Annapolis 86, Gilman 45: Delonte Joyce made five 3-pointers and totaled 32 points for the visiting Panthers (4-1).


No. 7 Owings Mills 84, Woodlawn 0: The host Eagles (9-0) collected 12 pins and two forfeits to win.
