A 46-year-old man stabbed to death Saturday night in Severn was identified as a food delivery driver who Anne Arundel County police believe was targeted in a robbery, police said.
County police also said they had arrested and charged a 39-year-old homeless man in the stabbing death of a 43-year-old man at a Glen Burnie shopping center Saturday night.
The killings occurred about 45 minutes apart. Police were called to the 1800 block of Meade Village Circle in Severn at about 7:15 p.m. for a report of a sick or injured man lying in the roadway, police said.
The man was identified as Ghulam Farooq, who lived on Chesterton Road in Woodlawn. Detectives believe he was making a food delivery when he was robbed and assaulted.

At 6:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight in the parking lot at the Cromwell Field Shopping Center in the 7300 block of Baltimore- Annapolis Blvd. Witnesses said two men had been fighting near a McDonald's, and one of them had been stabbed.
The victim, James Anthony Liberto of Glen Burnie, was stabbed in the torso and died at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Police arrested a suspect, Roland Michael Long, at the scene. Long — whose address in charging documents is the Arundel House of Hope, a homeless shelter — is charged with second-degree murder. Anyone with additional information was asked to call Detective Regina Gow at 410-222-3417.
