Walking event The Freestate Happy Wanderers holds this event on New Year's Eve and again on New Year's Day at the Owen Brown Community Center, 6800 Cradlerock Way in Columbia. Two-day event features a 6-km trail and two 10-km trails. Walking starts between 9 a.m. and noon and finish by 4 p.m. Take a can of nonperishable food for the food pantry.
