Sophomore point guard Aquille Carr scored a game-high 29 points to lead the No. 4 Patterson boys basketball team to an 82-41 rout of visiting Southside.

Power forward Donte Williams added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers (3-0).

No. 10 Oakland Mills 59, Reservoir 40: Greg Whittington led all scorers with 29 points to power the host Scorpions (3-0) past the Gators.

Girls

No. 4 McDonogh 62, John Carroll 48: Senior forward Candice Hendricks scored 22 second-half points to lead the Eagles to their third consecutive win over the host Patriots.

Tiersa Winder added 16 and Taryn Durant had 12 for McDonogh.
