Sun staff picks: Ravens vs. Steelers

December 02, 2010|By Baltimore Sun Staff

Kevin Cowherd: Ravens 24, Steelers 21:Obscure stat of the year: Ravens have won nine straight at home when it's 40-degrees or below at kickoff. It'll be in the low 30's Sunday. Ooooh!

Jamison Hensley: Ravens 16, Steelers 13: The Ravens have struggled to beat Ben Roethlisberger, but the Steelers have struggled to protect him this year. This is another classic close game between the rivals.

Edward Lee: Steelers 20, Ravens 16: The Ravens upended the Steelers by three earlier in the season, but injuries along the offensive line and the return of Roethlisberger does not bode well. Plus, history shows that the Ravens have not fared well when given the opportunity to sweep the Steelers.

Ken Murray: Steelers 17, Ravens 16: Somebody will make a big play in the fourth quarter and Roethlisberger has made a career of it.

Mike Preston: Ravens 17, Steelers 14: The Steelers won't be able to handle the defensive pressure, and the Ravens will get to Roethlisberger.

Peter Schmuck: Ravens 23, Steelers 20: Just a typical Ravens-Steelers fistfight that will come down to a Billy Cundiff field goal and put the Ravens on the inside track to the division title.

WJZ's Mark Viviano: Ravens 21, Steelers 16: Depleted Steelers give Ravens a scare but Baltimore prevails at home.
