Fatal shooting victim identified

two others expected to live

City police have identified the 29-year-old man who was fatally shot Friday night in West Baltimore.

Baltimore police Detective Jeremy Silbert said Jerry Thomas, 29, was among three men who were shot in the 1500 block of Poplar Grove Road in the Northwest Community Action neighborhood. Police were called to the street about 10:30 p.m. and found the three men with gunshot wounds.

The other two men were a 26-year-old and a 22-year-old, and their names were not released. Police said they were each shot once and were taken to a local hospital. Silbert said they were expected to survive.

Police had no suspects or motive for the shootings.
