Senior farewell: Emotions figure to be running high in the final game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for the Midshipmen's 23 seniors. Navy, however, has struggled to start well at home, having fallen behind in each of its past three games in Annapolis. The Mids are 3-1 at home this season, with one of those victories coming against Football Championship Subdivision team Georgia Southern, 13-7. But they also suffered a 34-31 loss to 3-7 Duke and barely held on to beat 3-8 Central Michigan last weekend.

Dobbs back: After missing last week's victory over Central Michigan, Navy senior QB Ricky Dobbs is back under center to close out his home career. He needs two touchdowns to set the NCAA record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in consecutive seasons. The record is 38 by Northern Illinois' Stacy Robinson and Nebraska's Eric Crouch. Dobbs also is tied for eighth with Missouri's Brad Smith for the most career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in NCAA history.

Passing concern: Among the NCAA's top-rated pass defenses early in the season, the Midshipmen are coming off a game in which they surrendered 394 passing yards and three touchdowns to Chippewas QB Ryan Radcliff. A week earlier against East Carolina, Pirates QB Dominique Davis threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns. Arkansas State QB Ryan Aplin is 13th in the country in total offense (303.1 yards per game), and the Red Wolves are 22nd in passing offense (272).
