'Man of La Mancha'

Volunteers needed

Adults and high school students are needed who can help with "Project Prom Dress," a fundraiser for the Red Cross of Central Maryland. 'Walk to Bethlehem'

Glen Mar United Methodist Church sponsors its annual "Walk to Bethlehem" Dec. 4-5 at the church, 4701 New Cut Road. This free indoor-outdoor theatrical event runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors can see the Christmas story with live animals, hear carols and experience a Biblical marketplace. Concert

Water main construction

A project to replace a 30-inch water main with a 48-inch main near U.S. 29 and Montgomery Road is continuing, with completion expected in late April. Information: 410-313-3440.

Quilt exhibit

"Stitches in Time/Threads of Change: An Exhibition of Maryland Community Quilts" continues through March 31 at the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park & Museum, 300 Oella Ave. The "Banneker Historical Quilt," a project more than five years in the making, is the centerpiece of the exhibit.
