Marathon The 34th Columbia Metric Marathon & 5K, sponsored by the Howard County Striders, takes place beginning at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at the Lakefront in Columbia. Thanksgiving The Howard County Office of Aging will hold a Thanksgiving celebration for seniors at Ten Oaks Ballroom, 5000 Signal Bell Lane in Clarksville. Arts program Howard Community College's English Language Learning Center hosts its annual "Arts Around the World" program from noon to 2 p.m. in the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia. The meeting will begin with a "Public Forum," when members of the public may address the board on any topic other than those for which a formal public hearing process exists.
