Pasadena school closed due to water main break

Bodkin Elementary closed; other schools in area not affected

An elementary school in Pasadena will be closed Monday as Anne Arundel County school officials repair a water main break on school property, a county school spokesman said.

Bodkin Elementary will be closed, but other schools on the same campus — Chesapeake Bay Middle and Chesapeake High School — were unaffected, said the spokesman, Bob Mosier.

The elementary school usually opens at 9:20 a.m., so school officials were able to use the automated telephone notification system to alert families of the closure, he said.

"We're told it's going to be a number of hours," Mosier said.
