NFL rankings roundup: How they're ranking Ravens

November 03, 2010|By Baltimore Sun reporter

Here's a look at where other media are ranking the Ravens.

• ESPN moved the Ravens from No. 4 to No. 2 after the Ravens bye week.

Without much fanfare, the Ravens have quietly won four of their past five.

• CBS Sports also bumped the Ravens up two spots , from No. 6 to No. 4.

They haven't looked great the past month, but maybe the bye helped. It's still tough to believe what the Bills did to them in their last game. They get a tough test in Miami this week.

• AOL Fanhouse moved the Ravens up , but referred to a "miserable" effort against the Bills in Week 7.

Hopefully for the Ravens, they've washed that miserable effort in a Week 7 win over the Bills away and can get back to smashing people after their Week 8 bye. Their AFC North battle with the Steelers looks destined to go to the wire, so they cannot afford any off games.

• USA Today kept the Ravens at No. 4 , sandwiched between the Jets at No. 3 and the Colts at No. 5.

• Of the power rankings sampled, NBC Sports gave the Ravens the biggest bump this week, moving them from No. 7 to No. 2.

The return of Donte' Stallworth could open up the offense; landing a focused and ticked off Randy Moss could blow it open.
