Baltimore County Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting in Owings Mills.

The incident was reported at 10 a.m. in the 4700 block of Buxton Circle, said police spokesman Cpl. Mike Hill.

Officers went to that location and found a 22-year-old man outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, Hill said. He was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment.

The victim told investigators that he was not from the area but was staying at a nearby home, the spokesman said. Investigators searching that address discovered evidence of another crime, he said.

"They are not releasing any further information in the hopes that it will lead to the suspect" in the shooting, Hill said.
