A teenager was killed and two others were injured in a shooting Sunday night in Halethorpe, according to Baltimore County Police.

The incident occurred at 8:54 p.m. in the 100 block of Twin Circle Way, said police spokesman Cpl. Mike Hill.

Officers responded to Twin Circle Way and McDowell Lane for a report of shots fired. They found 16-year-old Dequan Travonte Burks, of Baltimore's Lakeland neighborhood, lying on the sidewalk in front of a row house, Hill said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police discovered two other victims as they interviewed witnesses. The two are Trekwan Woodward, 15, of Mount Winans and Imean Abdulah Shaheed, 19, of Cherry Hill, according to police.

Both were taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment and are expected to survive.

Detectives had no motives or suspects for the shooting, although the incident may have started at the footbridge that crosses the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
