The Sun embraces one-party rule

November 01, 2010

The Sun's endorsement of Martin O'Malley for Governor comes as no surprise ("O'Malley for governor," Oct. 31). Your endorsement for yet another person in blue simply reinforces my notion of one party rule.

In a time of dire economic straits and poor job figures, your endorsement for Maryland's next governor should have gone to Bob Ehrlich. However, you chose Mr. O'Malley based in part on his support for education. As a young adult on the brink of graduating from Goucher College, I am fully aware of the importance of a good education. However, I say this. What good is a diploma if I do not have a job to help pay off my student loans?
