2 shot Thursday night in unrelated incidents

Incidents happened within 30 minutes in Park Circle, Parkview/Woodbrook neighborhoods

Police are investigating two unrelated Thursday night shootings in Northwest Baltimore.

The first occurred on the 2900 block of Violet Avenue in the Park Circle neighborhood. An officer responded just before 7 p.m. to an area hospital for a report of a shooting victim, and found a 43-year-old man being treated by hospital staff for a gunshot wound to the right upper thigh.

At 7:30 last night, an officer responded to the 2200 block of Lynbrook Avenue, in the Parkview/Woodbrook neighborhood between Reisterstown Road and Druid Hill Avenue, and found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right side of his head. Police said the man was transported by a medical crew to an area hospital.

Police had no word on either man's condition.
