Woman dies, man injured in Baltimore County crash

A 27-year-old Baltimore woman was killed and a 28-year-old Woodlawn man was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Baltimore County, police said.

Baltimore County police received a call at 2:18 a.m. Sunday reporting the accident. Antonio Nelson Bailey of the 100-block of Wyndmoor Place in Woodlawn was driving west "at a high rate of speed" on Security Boulevard near West Perimeter Drive in Woodlawn when he veered off the roadway, striking a newspaper box, sliding down a small embankment and striking a metal pole, before coming to a stop in the westbound lane, police said.

Front-seat passenger Lattrell Ann Geter of the 1200 block of Turpin Lane in Baltimore was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bailey was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. His condition was not known.
