Ray Lewis to appear at local pub to promote apparel line

Fans will receive shirt, drink and chance at giveaway with $20 admission

Ray Lewis will promote his new sports apparel line Monday by making an appearance at Pickles Pub in downtown Baltimore.

In September, the veteran Raven ventured into the fashion merchandise industry with RL 52 Style, a line of jewelry, logo T-shirts, hats and jackets.

Monday night, fans will receive a RL 52 Style T-shirt, a drink ticket, and a chance to win a giveaway, with $20 admission. The event, which runs from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., will also feature host Steve Davis of 105.7 The Fan. Participants over the age of 21 will have the opportunity to meet with Lewis and purchase autographed apparel.

"The RL 52 Style line is a reflection of my personality and my sense of style, but this is just the first phase of my clothing line," Lewis said in a prepared statement. "I'm really looking forward to expanding. As the brand progresses, we will incorporate higher end fashions into the mix. Fans can expect a great selection of high-quality apparel added in the future."

Lewis' line, RL 52 Style, ranges in price from $25 for hats to $300 for bomber jackets. Jewelry, which ranges in price from $800 for a gold charm necklace to $1,900 for a diamond-accented necklace, will be created by New York designer Mauri Pioppo. Children's clothing will also be sold in the near future. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Ray Lewis Foundation.

Although the line currently consists of 15 items, there are plans for expansion. The line is available at RL52style.com.
