Classical music "Sundays at Three" concert series kicks off its 14th season with violinist Ronald Mutchnik, accompanied by pianist Daniel Wyneken, at Christ Episcopal Church, 6800 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia. Concert "A World-Wind Tour" with the Patagonia Winds takes place at 4 p.m. at Howard Community College's Monteabaro Recital Hall in the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia. Art exhibits The Columbia Association Art Center kicks off its fall season with two solo exhibits by local painters. On display in the Main Gallery will be "…Anything But a Still Life," by Rhona Schonwald. In the Window Gallery is "A Sense of Place," by Chaya Schapiro. Shows run through Oct. 10. Financial workshop The Columbia Community Exchange hosts a free workshop titled, "The Money Workshop," at 7 p.m. at the Barn, Oakland Mills Village Center, 5852 Robert Oliver Place. Festival Days End Farm Horse Rescue in Lisbon holds its annual Fall Festival. Event features traditional activities as well as new attractions, including a $25,000 prize giveaway. Guided hike The Howard County Conservancy offers a free, guided hike at 10 a.m. Oct. 9. Education director Tabby Fique will introduce visitors to the conservancy's resident Barred Owl, Ranger. Program focuses on the owl's features and adaptations, as well as hunting and defense techniques. The conservancy is located at 10520 Old Frederick Road in Woodstock. New season Howard Community College's student alumni theatre group, Arts Collective, opens its 16th season with the musical, "On Broadway," Oct. 14-17. Also, for the first time, Arts Collective will offer a subscription series that gives subscribers the opportunity to buy tickets to all six productions or four of their choosing at a discounted price.
