Maryland State Police say all lanes are open after a commercial truck overturned on I-70, sending the driver to the hospital and closing westbound lanes during rush hour.

A spokesman says the driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after the vehicle overturned about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. The accident happened near West Watersville Road, and at least two westbound lanes of the highway were closed for an extended period time.

By 10 a.m., all activity had been moved to the right shoulder and lanes reopened.

It was not clear what the truck was carrying or why the accident occurred.
