Baltimore police have identified a man shot in the East Baltimore Midway neighborhood early Sunday, and released more details in a separate homicide.

An officer responded to a reported shooting early Sunday on the 1200 block of Bonaparte Avenue and found George Lewis, 25, lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:42 a.m.

Police have no information on a suspect or motive at this time.

In a separate shooting also in the pre-dawn hours of Sunday morning, Isaiah White, 28, was fatally shot on the 2900 block of Edgewood Avenue after an argument.

According to police, White was walking with his girlfriend when they were approached by a vehicle. He then got into an argument with the occupants of the vehicle, which police said included multiple women and a man.

The vehicle drove away but returned a short time later. The vehicle occupants then got out of the car, whereupon the male suspect shot White with a handgun.
