Series: Villanova leads 4-2.

What's at stake: The Tigers and Wildcats meet for the seventh time in a series that dates back to 2004. Villanova has won its last three meetings with Towson, including a 49-7 victory over the Tigers on their way to the 2009 NCAA Football Championship Subdivision championship. The Wildcats are ranked No. 1 in the country after dominating Lehigh in a 35-0 victory last week. Towson is coming off a five-overtime, 47-45 win over Coastal Carolina. Villanova enters the game as the No. 1-ranked team in the FCS Top 25.

Key matchup: Towson junior quarterback Chris Hart tossed four touchdown passes and rushed for 79 yards against Coastal Carolina, but the Wildcats' defensive unit is coming off a stifling performance against Lehigh. Led by senior defensive back Fred Maldonado, Villanova held the Mountain Hawks to 29 rushing yards last week. Maldonado made a team-best seven tackles while three different Wildcats players registered an interception.

Players to watch: Senior wide receiver Hakeem Moore leads the CAA with 185 all-purpose yards per game and had three receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns for Towson last week. Sophomore safety Jordan Dangerfield leads the Tigers with 19 tackles, including a team-high 10 tackles in the season opener against Indiana. Villanova senior running back Aaron Ball rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries and senior quarterback Chris Whitney threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns against Lehigh.
