Barkley admits he took cash

Outspoken former NBA star Charles Barkley admitted during a radio interview on Friday afternoon that he took money from an agent while in college.

Foxsports.com reported Barkley made the revelation during Dan Patrick's show when discussing Reggie Bush relinquishing his Heisman Trophy amid reports that the former USC running back received money from an agent while with the Trojans.

"I got money from agents when I was in college," Barkley told Patrick. "Most of the players I know borrow money from agents."

Barkley added that he paid the money back once he entered the NBA after finishing up at Auburn.

•Raptors rookie forward Ed Davis suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee while playing in a pick-up game on Wednesday. The severity of the injury is unknown, and the team and Davis are currently evaluating treatment options. The 6-foot-10, 215-pound Davis was selected 13th overall in June's draft. … The Hornets signed guard D.J. Strawberry and center Darryl Watkins.
