Anniversary picnic

The Annapolis Methodist community celebrates its 225th anniversary from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, with a picnic on the grounds of Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 Rowe Blvd. in Annapolis. Event features musical selections performed by the choirs of the 11 Methodist churches in the area. Booths will offer information on health and nutrition, and on the religion's history. Food will be available for purchase, and children's activities are planned. The Rev. Jerry Colbert, pastor of John Wesley Methodist Church in Annapolis, is chairman for the event. 'Celebration of Miracles'

Event takes place at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at Chesapeake Christian Center, 206 Weston Woods Drive in Pasadena. David and Gail Price deliver a message on healing for broken relationships, sickness, financial needs and more. Information: 410-255-3168.

'Bless the Years'

St. Paul's Lutheran Church holds its annual "Bless the Years Celebration" on Saturday, Sept. 25, and Sunday, Sept. 26, at the church, 308 Oak Manor Drive in Glen Burnie. The event is to help people recognize and celebrate each year that's added to their lives as a gift from God and to respond with renewed commitment and service. Activities include a luncheon for those 55 and older at noon Saturday. Michael Walter, along with A Poor Man's Band, will provide musical entertainment. At the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship service Sept. 26, senior members and guests 55 and older will be recognized and a special tribute will be given to those 80 and older. The Rev. George Black is the preacher. An $8 reservation for the luncheon is required. Information: 410-766-2283.
