Smithsonian magazine's Museum Day

What: Smithsonian magazine has designated Saturday, Sept. 25, as its sixth annual Museum Day. Participating U.S. museums and cultural institutions will open their doors free of charge to all visitors who download the Museum Day Ticket from Smithsonian.com. The event aims to emulate the free admission policy of the Smithsonian Institution's Washington facilities.

Where: More than 1,300 venues in 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Participating museums in Baltimore include Ladew Topiary Gardens, Homewood Museum and Port Discovery.

When: Saturday

How much: Free

Information: Visitors who present the official pass will gain free admission for two people to participating museums and cultural venues. One ticket is permitted per household, per e-mail address. To download a Museum Day ticket or for more details, go to smithsonian.com/museumday.
