Some customers are still without power while Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. crews work to repair in Little Italy after a fire Sunday morning, a company spokeswoman said.

The utility restored service to 80 customers at 3:45 a.m., said Linda Foy. A remaining 43 customers may remain without power until early Tuesday because they supplied directly by the underground electric cable and transformers that are being replaced, she said.

Witnesses spotted flames rising from a manhole at about 6 a.m. Sunday, fire officials said. The cause remains under investigation.
