City homicide detectives were investigating the shooting of a man in the Dundalk area Tuesday evening.
An unidentified man was shot in the chest about 6 p.m. in the 6500 block of Holabird Ave, near Kane Street in the Broening Manor neighborhood of Southeast Baltimore.
His condition was not immediately known, but district detectives handed the investigation to homicide detectives, indicating the victim's prognosis had worsened.
The block is in an industrial area and includes a bar and a restaurant; there have been two homicides this year within blocks on the Baltimore County side.
