Baltimore police are investigating the death of an adult male whose body was discovered Monday afternoon in his room at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel at the Inner Harbor.
A preliminary investigation shows that no foul play is suspected, said Det. Jeremy Silbert, a city police spokesman. A cause of death will determined by the state Medical Examiner's Office after an autopsy is completed, most likely on Tuesday.
Few details were immediately available. Silbert said a member of the hotel staff found the body about 1:30 p.m. but the spokesman did not know why the staffer checked on the room or whether the staffer was a member of the cleaning staff.
