    What's at stake: : Morgan State hasn't won its opener since 2007 and is just 3-5 under head coach Donald Hill-Eley in the first game of the season. The Bears have 13 freshmen on their two-deep right now, while Bowie State returns eight starters on offense and nine on defense. The Bulldogs lost 20-14 to Seton Hill last week.

    Key matchup: : Morgan State TE Lamont Bryant vs. Bowie State LB Delano Johnson. Bryant, a junior, is an All-MEAC First Team preseason selection and Johnson had 14 tackles last week, including four for loss.

    Players to watch: Bowie State: RB Romono Flowers (72 yards on 14 carries, 1 TD last week) was an all-conference rookie team selection last year. Morgan State: WR Winfred Diggs is the only Bears skill player who has started more than 11 games, and will be relied upon heavily to make plays.
