Hundreds of thousands rally with Beck

August 30, 2010

I would like to comment on the well-reported Glenn Beck rally Article by Nicole Fuller (Thousands attend Beck rally," Aug. 29). Sorry it had to appear on Page 2 and not on the front page. The article was well-written and researched.

I attended the rally along with 250 of my neighbors from Howard County on five buses. We left the Long Gate Commuter Lot at 8:30 a.m. and arrived in D.C. at 9:30 a.m., a few short blocks from the Reflecting Pool.

I was born and raised and worked in D.C. and was greatly pleased with folks who attended the Beck rally. They were from all aspects of the communities from all around the country and very happy and excited about being together with so many folks who felt as they did about bringing truth and honesty and God back to our governments.

The brightly color t-shirts crowd without their signs were flowing like bees to hive toward the Lincoln Memorial. Fortunately the weather was great for a rally. The jumbo screens and sound systems allowed all to hear and see all the speakers talking about bringing all together for a better government under God with all to be judged by the content of the character and not the color of your skins.

As to the size of the crowd I would say it was somewhere between 300,000 and 500,000, a very patriotic group who cared for their country and willing to stand up and be heard and seen.

I want to thank Glenn Beck for bringing us all together. We boarded our Howard County buses at 1:00 p.m. and were back home by 3:00 p.m.

Thank you for Nicole Fuller's great report of this very important beck rally.
