Missouri star suspended

Missouri running back and senior captain Derrick Washington has been suspended indefinitely by coach Gary Pinkel after court documents revealed Washington had an order of protection issued against him after being accused of sexual assault in June, the Columbia Missourian reported Friday.

A woman in her early 20s alleges Washington entered her room "unprovoked" and sexually assaulted her June 19 at a campus apartment.

"I was sexually assaulted by him. ... I am pressing criminal charges," she wrote in court documents obtained by the Missourian. "I fear physical retaliation."

•Georgia sophomore running back Washaun Ealey was suspended for at least one game after being arrested early Friday for a hit-and-run accident involving a parked vehicle and driving with a suspended license. ... Middle Tennessee State has declared quarterback Dwight Dasher ineligible because of a violation of the NCAA amateurism legislation reportedly involving a $1,500 loan.
