Senior Olympics Registration is under way for the 2010 Maryland Senior Olympics, which begins Saturday, Aug. 14. Competition for those 50 and older will be held in track and field, softball, swimming, badminton, lawn bowling, shuffleboard, bowling, golf, billiards, tennis, table tennis, archery, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes and racquetball. 'Caregiver 102' The Anne Arundel Department of Aging and Disabilities' National Family Caregivers Support Program offers a one-day workshop designed to prepare new caregivers on how to manage the care of their older and/or disabled loved ones. Workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Arnold Senior Activity Center, 44 Church Road in Arnold. Participants will learn essential home care skills and how to bathe a disabled person and protect skin integrity.
