State police have identified the 18-year-old who was killed in a fiery Westminster car crash Thursday night.

Eric D. Ludvigsen of Westminster was killed after his 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Mark A. Fourhman, 37, of Westminster, police said. The two were heading east on Hampstead Mexico Road, north of Leisters Church Road, about 7 p.m. when police said Ludvigsen slowed down, and Fourhman hit him from behind.

Ludvigsen's Oldsmobile was pushed into oncoming traffic and was hit by a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Jason J. Myers, 25, of Westminster, police said. His car caught fire, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two drivers refused medical treatment.

State police are investigating.
